pd|hub presents the inaugural pd|hub Collection at the AAMC GREAT Group Annual Conference

Join pd|hub September 29-October 1 at the 2022 Association of American Medical Colleges’ Graduate Research Education and Training Annual Conference in Chicago, where we will introduce the inaugural pd|hub Collection: Foundations of Career Exploration for PhD Scientists. The pd|hub Collections framework will accelerate advances in PhD career development by a) curating effective practices into a concise, diverse collection of models (e.g. courses, workshops) via peer review, with each collection focused on a distinct professional development competency, b) facilitating institutions’ efficient adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of featured models, and c) incentivizing, recognizing, and supporting educators seeking to disseminate their work. Our poster (on Thursday) and talk (on Friday) will overview the pd|hub Collections framework, then introduce the five models that are part of this inaugural pd|hub Collection and social sciences theories that describe the complex process of career exploration. Take advantage of these models by partnering with pd|hub as an Implementation Site, attaining training and support for adapting the models for your institution. Implementation Sites will also participate in cross-site evaluation, supported and coordinated by pd|hub. Following the talk and poster, we will be available at the Saturday breakfast discussion tables to continue conversation and answer questions.
