Ms. Yeager, a Fellow of the pd|hub Collection until retirement in November 2023, brought 15 years of experience in the career development field, teaching and developing resources through the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Career Center to empower undergraduates and graduate students to self-advocate as they pursue their career goals. With Dr. Paul Rainey, Yeager co-led and co-taught the IDP Career Exploration Series, a flipped-classroom career exploration series competitively selected to be part of the pd|hub Collection: Foundations of Career Exploration for PhD Scientists. This model results from a collaboration Yeager initiated in 2019 with the TAMU’s Graduate and Professional School, Center for Teaching Excellence, and Postdoctoral Office to create and revise an IDP career exploration series for graduate students and postdoctoral trainees. Yeager has led numerous other initiatives, including co-development and teaching an undergraduate Biology elective, Careers in Biology, for more than ten years, development of a Career Center Student Worker Training program, and development of a graduate student career development timeline—informed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Competencies—with action steps and resources for each stage of graduate training. Yeager’s work has been highlighted at conferences of the Graduate Career Consortium and Southern Association of Colleges and Employers. Yeager holds a bachelor’s degree in Aquatic Biology from the University of California Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in Oceanography from TAMU. Yeager served as the Associate Director of Graduate Student Career Services at TAMU.
