Session | Self-assessment to Guide Career Exploration

During her years as a Fellow of the pd|hub Collection, Foundations of Career Exploration, Dr. Tepsuporn served as Senior Assistant Dean for Graduate Professional Development in the University of Delaware Graduate College. Prior to this, she developed and implemented training programs spanning leadership, teaching, mentoring, effective communication, wellbeing, and career development skills at various academic institutions including Boston University, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mission was to inspire, educate, and empower graduate students and postdocs through the creation of data- and impact-driven professional development initiatives and individualized career advising that promote opportunities for all, foster professional growth, and encourage intentional career decision making. Over time, Tepsuporn developed the Career Compass workshop–a self-assessment session competitively selected to be part of the pd|hub Collection: Foundations of Career Exploration for PhD Scientists. Tepsuporn holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College and doctorate in Immunology from Harvard University, and completed postdoctoral training in Oncology at AstraZeneca. She transitioned into career development in 2014 via an internship in the Center for Career Development at Boston University.
