Join our team to support change in graduate and postdoctoral education!

Professional Development Hub, or pd|hub, is a national, multi-stakeholder initiative dedicated to advancing the professional development of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. With funding from the NIH, we are developing peer-reviewed Collections of evidence-based practices in graduate/postdoctoral education (currently, in the area of STEM PhD/postdoctoral career and professional development), paired with training and mentoring to assist educators in adapting and implementing strategies (about the pd|hub Collections). An integral part of the pd|hub Collections is our national cross-Site evaluation, which provides a unique opportunity to study outcomes of these educational approaches. More about motivations driving this and other initiatives of pd|hub are highlighted in, “Enhancing dissemination of evidence-based models for STEM PhD career development,” our 2020 report of findings from pd|hub’s NSF-funded cross-disciplinary stakeholder workshop held at Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus.

We are seeking a Collections Specialist to drive forward key aspects of the pd|hub Collections, playing a central role in the continued development of this new dissemination framework. The Collections Specialist will be a core member of the pd|hub team.  We are a mission-driven team, coming together as scholars and practitioner-educators with diverse expertise and backgrounds, and a commitment to advancing inclusive, equitable practices in graduate/postdoctoral education. This is a full-time position, though part-time or other flexible options can be discussed; this role can be remote/hybrid. The Collections Specialist will receive full benefits as an employee of UMass Chan Medical School.
