pd|hub fills a critical need, enabling PhD students and postdocs to apply their skills and passion for science to a wide range of occupations and societal issues. We will all benefit as a result.
As leaders in graduate and postdoctoral training, we need to recognize the realities of the current scientific enterprise and build a system to educate students for the many careers available to them.
We have a responsibility to create scientific training environments that empower our trainees to advance research and discovery, and also to pursue and succeed in careers across society that need and depend on their scientific perspective and expertise.
To benefit from the potential that diversity holds for the scientific enterprise, institutions need to regard career and professional development as critical as disciplinary knowledge to the success of their graduate students and postdoctoral scientists.
pd|hub will help integrate lessons learned and distill best practices in fostering STEM Ph.D. career and professional development, critical to modernizing education in these fields.
This is an initiative developed by people committed to the career and professional development of scientists. See more >
