Join us on Monday, July 13 from 1:30-3:00pm CT for our session, “Addressing Gaps in Graduate Student Career Development Through Enhanced Faculty Mentorship.” This interactive session will highlight the training ecosystem that supports graduate student career development and the need for enhanced faculty mentorship within this ecosystem. We will explore evidence-based frameworks, lessons learned, and ready-to-use curricula for career planning and mentorship. Participants will discuss current gaps, identify collaborative strategies, and explore actionable steps to strengthen career-related mentoring while reducing faculty burden. We will introduce the newly launched NIH-funded pd|hub Mentorship Action Collaborative as a way to contribute to change.
If you will be in Chicago attending the Summer Workshop, we hope you will join us for this lively and engaging discussion about advancing career-related mentorship in graduate education!
